Forty tonnes of well-preserved school furniture from Potsdam were given a second life in Guinea.

“Doing is like wanting – only more powerful.”

For more than a year, together with the City of Potsdam, we collected and stored blackboards, tables, chairs, whiteboards and other school equipment that had been taken out of service but was still in good condition.

In October 2024, africa aid project e.V. and many volunteers loaded two 40-foot shipping containers. A total of 40 tonnes of school furniture set off for Guinea.

Working with local non-governmental organisations, the furniture was distributed to numerous schools. The new equipment was met with great joy and gratitude by teachers and pupils.
