General information
This privacy policy informs users of this website about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the website operator. We take data protection seriously and treat personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory provisions. Terms such as “personal data” and “processing” are used within the meaning of Article 4 GDPR.
Access data
On the basis of our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, the hosting provider processes data relating to access to the website and stores it in server log files. This may include the page accessed, referrer URL, date and time of the request, server response status, amount of data transferred, IP address, browser and operating system. The data is processed to provide the website securely and reliably, analyse errors and prevent misuse. It is deleted when it is no longer required for these purposes, unless statutory retention obligations or legitimate interests in preserving evidence apply.
Cookies and consent settings
This website uses technically necessary cookies or comparable storage technologies to ensure functionality, security, language selection, form processing, administration login and storage of your privacy choice. Optional services are activated only after your consent. You can change your selection for the future at any time through the cookie settings in the footer.
Collection and processing of personal data
This website can generally be used without providing personal data. Where a function requires personal data, we process it only on a legal basis or with the consent of the person concerned. Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, such as a name, email address or telephone number.
Contact form and contact details
If you contact us through the contact form, by email or by another method, we process the information you provide in order to handle and answer your request. The contact form may process your name, email address, telephone number and message. The information is stored in the protected administration area of the website and may additionally be sent to the association by email. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual or contractual matters and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Data is not disclosed to unauthorised third parties without a legal basis or consent. It is deleted when it is no longer required for the purpose and no statutory retention obligation applies.
Form submissions
When forms are submitted, a non-reversible hash of the IP address may be stored for security reasons. This serves to prevent misuse and to enable the technical investigation of security incidents on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
SSL/TLS encryption
This website uses an encrypted connection. Active encryption can be recognised by “https://” and the padlock symbol in the browser. This prevents transmitted data from being read easily by third parties.
Two-click solution for external content
Interactive maps, videos and, where applicable, external donation or membership forms are loaded only after your active confirmation. No connection to the relevant provider is established beforehand. After activation, the provider may receive data including your IP address, browser information, time of access and the page viewed. The provider’s privacy policy applies to any further processing.
Social media links
References to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok are ordinary links. A connection to the relevant social network is established only when you actively click the link. From that point, the respective provider is responsible for the data processing.
Google Maps / Google My Maps
The network map may be provided through Google Maps or Google My Maps. It is loaded only after your active consent. Data may then be transferred to Google. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw consent for the future through the cookie settings.
Videos
Videos supplied by external providers are embedded using a two-click solution. A connection to the video provider is established only when you actively load the video. Data may then be transferred to that provider.
Optional audience measurement
Audience measurement is activated only if a corresponding measurement ID is stored in the administration area and you have given prior consent. No optional analytics are loaded without consent. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
External documents and links
Some documents or additional content are provided on external servers. A connection to the relevant provider is established only when you click the link. Technically necessary access data is then transmitted to the destination server.
Recipients and technical service providers
Where necessary for operation, maintenance, hosting, backups or email delivery, technical service providers may process personal data in accordance with the statutory requirements.
Rights of data subjects
You have the right to obtain information about personal data stored about you, to rectify inaccurate data, to request erasure or restriction of processing and, where the statutory requirements are met, to data portability. Consent can be withdrawn at any time for the future. You may also object to processing based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR.
If you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Deletion of data
Personal data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was processed and no statutory retention obligation or legitimate interest in continued storage applies. If deletion is not possible, processing is restricted accordingly.
Objections and privacy enquiries
